LEAF Engineers completed the HVAC renovation project for The Center for Advanced Research And Technology (CART) campus. This campus is a high school campus owned by both Clovis and Fresno Unified School Districts. The project consisted of the Central Plant pump replacement with addition of VFD Drives, New Pumps and Conversion to Variable Flow System. The piping system for the campus was evaluated for the increased flow requirements of the renovated and added fan coils. Conversion of Campus EMS System was done to bring the campus up to current district standards.

CART was developed through an innovative collaboration between two school districts, higher education, the business community and the government. CART is a solution to the community’s need for advanced training in the areas of technology. The curriculum focuses are: agriculture, biotechnology, chemical technology, engineering, environmental technology, financial technology, manufacturing, multi-media technology, telecommunications, technology and logistics & spatial information technology. The curriculum is project based and aimed at attracting students who, although intelligent and highly motivated, do not perform well in school because they do not respond to traditional instructional models.
